“Money changes people” this annoying statement was frequently repeated by every self-proclaimed saint I met on my way. What they meant to say was my love for anime, cartoons, chocolates, basketball & every little thing that gave me happiness shall wither away with time. The ideology simply conveyed that every last soul in this Planet Earth chases M-O-N-E-Y.
In the short amount of teen years that I relished and flaunted my negligible gifted pocket money; I actually did realise money is important! Yes, sorry old rebellion little brat you were wrong. Remember the days when your friends bought a PS3 & you worked your ass off to buy a second hand PS2, which couldn’t even survive for 6 months. Remember the Nike hi-flying shoes that you always wanted were being worn by novice who could barely even dribble the ball. Remember the dream destination that you saw every night well now your rich acquaintance is gonna have a summer vacation over those hilly mountains.
Frankly I did my best not to over think about it & always laughed when my desires were being burned in ashes. Couldn’t I ask money from my parents? Well HELL NO. According to them, PS 3 which worth’s 25 times my pocket money is a time consuming console. Now don’t you start to think that I’m from a poor family, which would be a misconception! Parents want to spend their money on future, on that bothersome thing called EDUCATION. Okay so they want a good future for me & they might be right in their place, end of parent-education discussion.
Just like you I have my dreams which goes like wandering around the world, seeing every wonder of earth, digging best food in my tummy & sipping various teas. And yes this is not a Dora adventures in which I get to do everything free of cost. So well old fags you were right “MONEY IS IMPORTANT” but so are my passions & I am never gonna give up on the little things I love….
If money is lost, something is lost.
If dream is lost, everything is lost!
how true!!!i am reminded of this quote- “I am thankful to all those who said no to me. It’s because of them that I did it myself.” -Albert Einstein
Thank you madam 🙂
